Obituary of Terry Bysterbosch

BYSTERBOSCH- Terry Royce of Port Colborne passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the age of 60 years.  Loving husband for 26 years and best friend of Suzanne (nee Poitras), loving father of Casey Fleming and Chad (Alyssa) Fleming, devoted grandfather of Sarah, Joshua, Desiree, Paige, Ethan, Elliott and Emerson, son of Jenny and the late Garry Bysterbosch, brother of Eleanor (Chuck) Owen, the late Ricky Bysterbosch, Dinah (Frank) Norman and Lorraine (the late Ron) Stevens, son-in-law of Therese Poitras and the late Fernand, brother-in-law of Daniel (Deborah) Poitras.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces.  Born in Port Colborne, Terry has lived there most of his life.  He worked most of his career as a Marine Engineer with Upper Lakes Shipping.  He most recently was working as a doorman at the Tower Hotel in Niagara Falls, where he enjoyed meeting and exchanging stories with people from around the world.  He loved fishing, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and took pride in caring for his home.  He will be sadly missed by his many family and friends.  Cremation has taken place.  The Bysterbosch family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of service in the Davidson Chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
